Joy becomes resistance in Hunky Jesus, a spirited documentary exploring the legacy of San Francisco’s Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. This global, secular order of queer and trans “nuns” combats guilt, shame and exclusion through humor, activism and glorious irreverence. While serving their communities and confronting bigotry, the Sisters challenge conventional ideas about faith and demonstrate how radically inclusive spirituality can be both celebratory and transformative.

Our Virtual Cinema brings a curated selection of the festival to audiences across the United States, so you can experience powerful LGBTQ+ storytelling wherever you are.  Not every film is available to stream. Some titles are Virtual Cinema Exclusives, while others are available only during their in-person screening. Most in-person films become available online the following day and remain available throughout the Virtual Cinema Encore.
