Director Biography - Rich West


Rich West is a highly accomplished award winning media professional with over 40 years of experience in various aspects of media production, including directing, producing, editing, and sound design. Rich contributed to both large-scale and independent projects across a range of formats.

Rich holds a degree in broadcasting from the University of Florida and has built a portfolio that spans local, regional, and national productions. His work encompasses everything from broadcast television to corporate and government videos, as well as short and feature films.


In 1987, Rich and his wife Ellen founded West Production Services, Inc., a company that has helped shape their collaborative career in the film and television industry. One of their notable achievements is co-producing the award-winning documentary The Spirit of Punxsutawney: Groundhog Day, which was broadcast nationally, showcasing their ability to capture compelling stories with wide appeal.
