Director bio: Rett Rogers is a filmmaker, photographer, and creative director based in New Orleans. He grew up in the Bay Area gazing up at herons floating through Redwood Groves.

A warm, deeply Louisianan portrait of family, farming, and legacy from Queen Sugar author Natalie Baszile and Hyacinth Parker. Come spend some time in Sondheimer, Louisiana, home to the Nelson family who have run their farm for multiple generations. Determined to continue this legacy of family stewardship, "Harvest" follows four brothers as they navigate changing conditions of their land due to droughts, constant repairs and unreliable opportunities to exceed forward. The story invites you into a year of their entire family, immersing you in their warmth for each other, as well as the realities that they face. -BT Director bio: Natalie Baszile and Hyacinth Parker are a mother-daughter creative team. They have written, directed, and produced projects including “Black Girl in Paris,” and “Harvest.” Natalie is the author of “Queen Sugar” and the forthcoming, “Friends and Family.” Hyacinth works in documentary, producing shows including “The Fall of Diddy,” and “With Love, Meghan."

The Nelson brothers are on a mission to become the largest farmers in the US, but after two years of poor harvests, the new year brings as much opportunity as uncertainty, facing the headwinds of climate change, equipment failures, and familial tension.
