Rodriguez is a Afro-Dominican filmmaker whose work sits at the intersection of history and imagination. His practice is collaborative, shaped by the voices and lived experiences of his community. Across his work, Andrew explores underserved communities and reimagines them into expansive stories.

Time alone leads to intimate conversations about sex and love, blurring the line between being parent and child and being friends. Director bio: Ingrid Runde Saxegaard is a Norwegian director and production designer, and an alumni of The Norwegian Film School. Her debut short film, "A mash moss story" (2022), screened in competition at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad.

When 14-year-old Tehila visits her dad under house arrest in the bayou, he makes a startling confession: He’s the messiah. Director bio: Roxy Moskowitz is a writer and director from Brooklyn. She just graduated with her MFA from NYU’s Graduate Film program, and was also a 2025-2026 fellow with the Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film. She studied philosophy at Rutgers University before transferring to Brooklyn College, where she studied film. Her latest short, "The Messiah's Daughter," premiered at Palm Springs International ShortFest.

Polo starts working as a seasonal worker in the trimming workshop of a ham factory, where his mother Isa has been working for years. He discovers a masculine world where his mother is mistreated. Director bio: Jean Larregaray grew up in a small village in the Basque Country. He worked at the Maison de la Radio before joining the sound department at La Fémis. During his studies, he made three self-produced short films. "The Workshop," produced by Mauvaise Troupe, is his first professional film, and he is currently developing his first feature-length fiction film with Take Shelter, a French production company.

Loosely based on the filmmaker’s own experiences, this film explores the tension that arises when a child is forced to parent their own parent. When her mother Suraya falls gravely ill, nineteen-year-old Hiba becomes her primary caregiver, while her older brother Hisham moves through the household largely unburdened. Hiba and Suraya love each other and wound each other in equal measure, locked in a push and pull that neither knows how to break. As Suraya's condition worsens, Hiba must navigate what it means to care for someone who cannot easily receive care, and what it costs her to keep showing up anyway. Director bio: Fatima Wardy is a Sudani filmmaker, raised in the United Kingdom and currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. Her work focuses on mothers and motherlands: on matriarchal tethers as sites of becoming. A descendant of the Nubian tribes of Sai and Halfa, she draws from her ancestors' oral storytelling traditions to explore what a Sudanese cinematic gaze might look like (and at).

When a mother falls gravely ill, her 19-year-old daughter becomes her primary caregiver. She must navigate what it means to care for someone who cannot easily receive care, and what it costs to keep showing up anyway.

Director bio: Christian Meola is a filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. He won Best Narrative Film at Fencesitter Film Festival for “Stardust” in 2025 and the "You're Special" award at Bizarroland Film Festival in 2020. He was also a finalist for the 2025 Pandora Short Film Grant and the 2025 New Voices Filmmaker Grant. Christian's films have screened at IFC Center, Palm Springs ShortFest, Frameline, and Flickers RIIFF.
