This special debut performance at Sands Films brings together three of the UKs jazz scene's most distinctive and boundary-blurring voices for an exclusive London Jazz Festival collaboration. Led by acclaimed drummer and composer Phelan Burgoyne for his deeply poetic and texturally nuanced approach to the drums, the trio features two exceptional guest artists: Tara Cunningham - An inventive, genre-defying guitarist whose evocative tonal palette ranges from delicate folk-tinged melodies to raw, atmospheric avant-garde textures. And celebrated multi-instrumentalist Fred Thomas; an ECM recording artist bringing his profound sensitivity and masterful multi-instrumental command to the trio’s improvisational dialogue.
