In a near-future Mumbai, mothers stop lactating, and the state forbids feeding others children. Urvashi, a widowed fisherwoman with an infant, survives as a milk donor. As economic collapse leaves only the wealthy able to buy milk, her fate changes when she finds an abandoned baby.
