COMING HOME follows Freedom Dabka Group, a collective of Palestinian-American dancers, living in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) who use Dabka as a way to connect to their community and homeland. Shot on 16mm under the unique constraints of 2020 and 2021, the film features archive photography from The Palestinian Museum.
About the Filmmakers

Naim Naif is a Brooklyn based Palestinian-American filmmaker. Born in the states, and raised between Ramallah, Palestine, and Florida. Naim’s work focuses on stories of the Palestinian people and their existence in the west. Naim lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
Born and raised in London Margot Bowman uses film to build bridges. Accessible spaces of possibility and power that connect us to ourselves and each other. Inspired by her home city's legacy of club culture; creativity, freedom of expression and community set the tone for her visually striking approach to storytelling.
