For a very special celebration, a host-mother has gathered mothers and their perfect children for a great banquet. Orchestrated by the host-mother, the banquet is suddenly disrupted by strange disturbances. What is hiding behind the scenes of this perfect ideal world? MOTHERS &amp; MONSTERS is a surrealist satire about modern-day maternity and the ideal of the family at a time when capitalism has reached its apex.

The self-service laundromat, Frugal Wash attracts a colorful and often disgruntled clientele, including Rita Riat (aka The Bleacher), whose discovery of a missing sock sends her into a near nervous breakdown. Convinced it’s either the work of the misfits waiting for their laundry or the broken-down machinery, Rita begins her search. Diving deep into the washing machine for a closer look, Rita is sucked into its claustrophobic confines and into the depths of her subconscious. There, she meets a dolphin-man trapped in a purgatory of lost socks. The bizarre ballet of seduction and revelation blurs reality for the pair, peeling back layers of Rita’s mundane life and exposing the harrowing truth behind the blood-stained sock that must be found.

A woman’s life is upended when the disappearance of her sock at the laundromat causes her to get sucked into a washing machine.

Asako is a girl who firmly believes that she can’t live without being exceptionally pretty. It all began during one fateful English class in junior high when she stumbled upon words that would forever change her life. Fast forward three years, and just as Asako has dedicated herself entirely to the pursuit of beauty, a captivating and mesmerizing girl transfers into her class. What fate awaits Asako and her new friend, Angel?

When Eva (the daughter) accidentally shoots her doomsday prepping boyfriend dead, her parents insist on getting rid of the body in order to protect her. The wilderness turns the temperature up on their dysfunctional family dynamics, as well as their unique brand of Asian- American sacrifice, love, and filial piety. Ultimately, it is a morbidly hopeful story of togetherness. After all, a family that hides a body together stays together.
