From marching bands and track meets to courtrooms and reasonable doubt, TEEN GIRL FANTASY combines the unsentimental dreaminess of VIRGIN SUICIDES with the shocking mid-century touchpoint of PEYTON PLACE to examine what teen girls fantasize about and what fantasies are placed upon them.&nbsp; TEEN GIRL FANTASY was created with the aid of a grant from the Writer’s Union of Canada, enabling director Marisa Hoicka to develop her own script under the guidance of Canadian poet Nikki Reimer. An examination of the fantasies held by teen girls and the fantasies projected onto them.

In a world incessantly proclaiming its own "truth" and setting boundaries on possibilities, the old man's journey underscores that sometimes, tuning out dogmatic authority can unlock genuine freedom. For in doing so, one might discover that the impossible becomes possible. A metaphor for our creative journey as filmmakers in redefining cinema in our digital age, RESONANCIA was made under the guidance of Apichatpong Weerashethakul at the Creator's Lab 2023 in Yucatan, Mexico.

An ahistorical retelling of Dr. Wilfred Grenfell's adventure lost at sea on an iceberg.&nbsp; Retold through an expressionistic blend of live-action photography and avant-garde animation, Wilfred Grenfell's thrilling autobiographical account of his adventures adrift on the ice with a team of sled dogs becomes a phantasmagoric nightmare as he confronts his heroic legacy and his faith in what he fears may be his final moments.

In an unspecified future, in unspecified woods, some solar-powered camera devices, left by documentary filmmakers, are activated with motion sensors. The documentary filmmakers are dead, almost all humans on the planet are dead, and the animals are alive. A man, now facing the end of his species, sends a voicemail to his best friend for the first time.The camera devices keep rolling.

In an unspecified future, in unspecified woods, some solar-powered camera devices left by documentary filmmakers are activated with motion sensors.

CONCRETE WHISPER is rooted in the 1920 surrealist game "Exquisite Corpse", adapted into a modernized chat group format. The legend of the Basilisk is a thematic thread in the film as it playfully delves into the creation of urban myths. The narrative unfolds as stories evolve freely and unpredictably through retellings from person to person.

A medieval saga and surrealistic play in a chat group gradually gives shape to a creature that makes its tracks through the big city.

One dancer, one body, one phone. In a time of collective alienation and technological mass control, one woman rediscovers her soul and reclaims her mind. A short experimental self-portrait composed of 100 video screens, this unique short transcends the walls of a fragmented grid system to uncover our shared humanity and place in the cosmos.

CORPUS AND THE WANDERING

Two performers are placed in an arena where they are left behind to begin again. Dealing with an end-of-world apocalypse, the landscape is bare and broken. As the performers struggle to survive they surrender to the sins of humanity and prevail with an innate understanding of both present and past.
