Fueled by personal loss and years of experience, she becomes a certified midwife and joins forces with local women to offer dignified care and revive ancestral healing traditions for indigenous farmworker communities.

Candelaria, a 75-year-old woman, mother of five adult sons, wife of Marcelino, lives in a small house with her family in the La Osa sector in one of Venezuela's moorlands. It is wheat harvest season, a crop that had been almost forgotten in the area but was revived a few years ago due to the country's flour shortage. Candelaria spends her days ensuring her family has enough food, carrying out some of her many daily tasks, and taking short breaks for moments of introspection, reflection, and rest in her small, isolated home. Candelaria, mujer de 75 años de edad, madre de cinco varones adultos, esposa de Marcelino, habita en una pequeña casa junto a su familia en el sector la Osa, en uno de los páramos venezolanos. Es época de cosecha de trigo, un cultivo casi olvidado en la zona, que renació por la escasez de harina en el país pocos años atrás. Candelaria transita su día asegurando los alimentos de la familia, realizando algunas de las múltiples actividades cotidianas y haciendo pequeños paréntesis entre momentos de introspección, reflexión y descanso en su pequeña y aislada casa.
