Director Biography - Max D Pollak

From Baltimore Maryland, Max D. Pollak studied both acting and filmmaking at Hofstra University, where he graduated in 2023. Since then, he has gone on to write, direct, and produce several short films, as well as assisting in the development of feature films and television shows.

Director Statement

I always wanted to make movies. When I was a kid I just wanted to make anything that people could go see on a big screen (primarily Shrek), but now that I finally get to live my dream of making movies, I realize that it isn’t quite that simple. I want to make movies to move people, provoke people, get things off my chest, but I still do primarily want to entertain people (and still make Shrek that hasn’t stopped).
