Director Biography - Sanjeev Kumar
Sanjeev Kumar, the creative brains behind the project, is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia (2023), where he double-majored in Commerce and American Studies. Sanjeev has pursued the arts through music, playing the tenor saxophone and guitar in his free time, and through dance, founding Virginia Ke Aashiq, a Bollywood fusion dance team in college.
During his time at UVA, Sanjeev was an advocate for the Asian American student body, leading the initiative to build an Asian American Student Center on campus.
His passions for both the arts and Asian American advocacy blend together into this short story, one that's focused on the very real and raw journey about South Asians, migrating to the United States, and the sacrifices that are made.
