Director Biography - Pono Wong

Pono Wong is a mixed-race Native Hawaiian/Asian high school freshman and prolific animator, filmmaker, writer, and actor. His unique style of mixing stop-motion, live-action, and 2D animation creates stunning effects. He grew up on Oahu, Hawai'i and has been creating stop-motion films since he was a young elementary school student. His knack for creating sympathetic characters shows his deep understanding of the human condition. His films "DUSK" and "ABRASIAN" were selected as Official Selections at the Hollywood Youth Diversity Film Festival. "DUSK" was also selected as an Official Selection at the Hawai'i International Film Festival's Inaugural 'Ōpio Youth Fest.
