American Teenager was produced by first-time filmmakers from Outside the Frame (OTF), an organization that trains homeless and marginalized youth in filmmaking. American Teenager is OTF's largest production to date. All major roles were filled by youth paired with a professional mentor to work by their side.

Nan is eighty years old, and living in a nursing home. Scared and alone, and with her Alzheimer's getting worse, she asks every day to “go home.” As she loses precious memories, and stops recognizing those closest to her, a new resident brings her hope.

Flightpaths is a heartfelt, 6-minute slice-of-life short film that explores the enduring legacy of a family of space travelers. When their father, an intrepid explorer of the cosmos, passes away, his two sons find themselves scattered across different corners of the galaxy, each continuing the legacy of space exploration he instilled in them. One day, on separate planets, both sons witness a rare celestial phenomenon—a mysterious event that sparks vivid memories of their father and the lessons he taught them. As they gaze at the same cosmic wonder from afar, they are reminded of his passion, wisdom, and the unspoken bond they shared with him. In a moment of quiet reflection, the brothers reconnect through the shared experience of their father’s memory, drawing strength from his influence as they continue to chart their own paths in the vast, uncharted space. Flightpaths is a poignant meditation on family, legacy, and the ways in which the ones we love continue to shape our journeys long after they’re gone.
