Recently orphaned August finds an abandoned ostrich egg and raises it into a crazy 350-pound best friend. The two are inseparable until a court order forces the bird to be returned to a commercial meat farm. Rescuing the ostrich seems like an impossible mission, but August, a kid who has known nothing but loss in his short life, is up for the challenge.
