Aravind, a high school teacher in a small town in South India, is determined to transition from male to female while continuing his work. Although Aravind is already undergoing hormone treatment, his parents are unaware of his transition. When his parents pressure him into an arranged marriage due to financial constraints, Aravind finds the courage to begin living as a woman named Bhanu, with the support of his friend Haritha. However, the school administration refuses to acknowledge Bhanu’s identity, creating significant obstacles. As Bhanu struggles to find happiness after her transition, she encounters Karthik, a student who faces bullying for his feminine demeanor. Karthik responds by wearing makeup and nail polish to school, but this only exacerbates the school’s hostility, which is wrongly directed at Bhanu. The film explores how Bhanu and Karthik confront and navigate their challenges in the face of adversity.
