Vera is an aspiring fashion model who feels as though her window of getting into the industry is quickly closing. She doesn't feel good about her body, has developed an eating disorder, and spends hours on end before bed scrolling social media taking in other model's success. This nightly ritual combined with running into her old modeling "friend" Alex, who brags about doing big shoots and being so busy all the time, only further degrades Vera's confidence, and she reaches a breaking point. At the request of her sly, pushy new agent, Jason, Vera makes a trip over to his apartment to take some new pictures. Jason convinces her she needs to have photos of herself naked taken for him to submit.
