THE DAMNATION

(Canada, 2024, 80 min)

“The Damnation” takes place in the largely Indigenous Canadian communities of Creek and Buffalo Mines. Since the closing of the mines, the area is a shell of its once thriving past. Developers, who are clearcutting the land, unearth a malignant evil that begins destroying the environment and feeding on the blood of humans. Eighteen year old Sarah Blackice is forced into taking action. With help from her cousins, they seek the expertise of a local urban legend talk radio host in combating the evil that has arisen. This unlikely team must band together to overcome the dark malevolence.
