Hazel, a middle-aged woman, runs a motel where she assists in the suicides of troubled people. A young stripper struggles to keep her Alzheimer's-stricken grandmother in a care facility. Her boss can't pay the club's rent or support his severe drug habit. But the local grocery store kingpin and club owner always gets his money with the help of his philosophy-obsessed henchman. A mysterious figure wanders into town, curious about the last suicide in Hazel's motel. These lives intersect, whether through fate or coincidence, in the worst possible way, leading them all to places they never wanted to go.
