A layabout sound designer desperate to prove himself, Jim is working on a new horror flick from the tyrannical yet lauded b-movie director P.W. Griffin. Sent to the remote island where the film was shot to capture a sound powerful enough to elevate the film's finale, eerie local fables surface about missing youth and a ghostly sea captain recruiting a spectral crew. As Jim entangles himself further into the scenery, and prophecy, he can’t help but ponder the truth of the legend, and if recording it might just cost him more than his career. 

Director bio:

Noah Stratton-Twine is a writer, director, editor, and composer whose work blends sharp character-driven storytelling with a resourceful do-it-yourself ethos. Jake Kuhn is a writer, producer, director, and recent alumnus of the National Film and Television School. Together they directed the crustaceous comedy "The Peril at Pincer Point," which won the NEON Auteur Award at SXSW 2026.
