The work explores themes of life, death, and the spirit, grounded in the cultural traditions of New Orleans. Director bio: Playdoh Kolo is a New Orleans-based puppeteer, filmmaker, and interdisciplinary artist whose work combines puppetry, found objects, performance, and film. Their films explore surreal and ritualistic worlds through practical effects and handcrafted imagery, drawing on traditions of experimental theater and puppetry.

Fifteen-year-old Honest Cardamom hasn’t seen her mother since she was four, but at a crowded family party, she begins to feel her presence in ways she can’t explain. When Honest senses the presence of her mother, she finds the courage to ask her uncle about the woman she barely remembers and, in doing so, begins to uncover pieces of herself. Director bio: Tshay is a filmmaker and artist from Amityville, NY. She is a writer, director, producer, shooter, and editor whose work is an expansive case for optimism, play, and interiority. Working in close collaboration with loved ones, Tshay creates films across documentary, fiction and hybrid forms.
