Director bio: Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Mariana Martinez is a peacebuilder and storyteller who is fiercely committed to telling stories from the Latin American diaspora. Jess Daddio is a Virginia-born-and-raised filmmaker with a soft spot for stories from the South. She produced the Patagonia-backed short documentary "Monte: Can't Stop, Won't Stop." "¡Hola, Paisano!" is their directorial debut.

A Korean American cobbler in Nashville, Tennessee finds peace in his simple life. Director bio: Haneol Lee or 이한얼 (b.2002, South Korea) is an award winning filmmaker who is an immigrant from South Korea. Lee's work dives deep into the Korean-American identity and explores themes of the Asian-American diaspora such as generational trauma, language, and cultural duality through a provocative yet contemplative lens.

Director bio: Sydney is an American documentary filmmaker and researcher whose work explores identity, memory, and community through intimate and experimental storytelling. With a background in nonprofit advocacy and fundraising, she approaches filmmaking with curiosity, care, and a commitment to meaningful impact.

An experimental portrait of the filmmaker’s grandfather: Carroll B. Williams Jr., a ground-breaking African-American forester, reflecting on his work and legacy in the twilight of his life. Director bio: Mars Verrone is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker, musician, and educator from Los Angeles, CA, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently, Mars directed, produced, edited and composed original music for their short documentary, "Buckskin," about their grandfather Carroll B. Williams, a ground-breaking African-American forester. Mars is a Sundance Documentary Producers Fellow, NBC Original Voices Artist Mentor and Fellow, PGA Create Fellow, Firelight Media Impact Fellow, Brown Girls Doc Mafia Sustainable Artist Fellow, Dear Producer Mentee, and was selected for DOC NYC’S 2024 “40 Under 40” cohort. Their work has been supported by Sundance Institute, Ford Foundation, Field of Vision, and the International Documentary Association, among others.

Director bio: Malakye Tsosie, who is from the Navajo Nation, aims to tell honest, unapologetic stories that reflect his cultural identity. He wants to join a group of storytellers who honor and connect with people's stories and truths.
