Pandemic-era Louisiana. An Asian American veteran prepares a farewell dinner for the son he lost to a racially motivated murder, moving through seven stages of grief toward forgiveness or vengeance. Director bio: Kai Tan is a queer Malaysian Chinese Australian writer-director and actor based in New Orleans. He came to filmmaking after twenty years in finance and business. His work centers on untold Asian stories at the intersection of identity, generational trauma, and psychological horror. "On the Seventh Day" is his directorial debut, grounded in personal history, symbolism and social justice.

Losing his son to a hate crime, an Asian American veteran faces a monumental choice as he prepares for his spirit to return on the seventh day.

Director bio: Whitney Bryan is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and advertising strategist. Her screenplay "The Retreat" was a 2023 Austin Film Festival Second Rounder and a 2024 Palm Springs International ShortFest Screenplay Competition Quarterfinalist. Her poetry has been performed with the Poetry Society of New York and the Poetry Brothel in New York City and Amsterdam. "The Roommate" marks her directorial debut.

A Louisiana Dread production, "The Rougarou" tells the story of Miranda, an insurance adjuster, who comes across one of the most notorious folklore legends in Louisiana history: The Rougarou. Director bio: Marion Forbes is a filmmaker, interdisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and owner of Hazelnut Entertainment. With Hazelnut Entertainment, Marion’s first short film, Timbre, was a Student Academy Award Semi-Finalist in 2021 and two of her previous short films are now streaming on iNDIEFLIX. Marion was a producing fellow with New Orleans Film Society’s Southern Producers Lab in 2023.

A Louisiana Dread production, "The Rougarou" tells the story of Miranda, an insurance adjuster, who comes across one of the most notorious folklore legends in Louisiana history: The Rougarou.

Kain drifts through a fractured reality with a mysterious guide named Echo. As the line between life and death blurs, he must confront the truth about his own existence. A psychological thriller exploring mortality, memory, and perception. Director bio: Glenn Anthony Brown III is a director and actor from Lutcher, Louisiana. He studied at Catapult Studios in Atlanta before auditioning for "For My Man" (2024). He later worked on Boots Riley’s "I Love Boosters" as a stand-in for Lakeith Stanfield and worked on the set of "Weapons." He is now producing "You Should’ve Looked Closer" through Elephanthill Productions.
