Autumn adventurers unite!&nbsp;Leaf Peeper&nbsp;takes you on a frantic frolic of Fall foliage until your eyes pop out. Shot on Super 8 in single frames with pixilation, puppet stop motion, frenetic pans, and plenty of plaid, this very short short film packs every second with as many picturesque and picaresque frames as possible,&nbsp;turning leaf peeping into equal parts immersion therapy and extreme sport to capture the sublime bliss of a lovely day out and about. Director bio: Vito Rowlands is a Belgian filmmaker, scholar, and Associate Professor of Experimental Film and Media at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His short films have screened around the world and his first feature is the Metamorphoses-inspired "Ovid, New York" (2024). Vito enjoys all seasons but has a soft spot for Fall.

Director bio: Recipient of the Sundance Institute’s Lynn Auerbach Screenwriting Fellowship, Christian Moldes is a Sundance Development Labs Fellow and Film Independent Episodic Labs Fellow whose feature, Quince Kings, was selected for The Black List’s 2024 Latine List. Born in Puerto Rico to Cuban parents, he tells genre-blending stories centered on Latin American identity.

In a rural town in northern Mexico, Juan receives an unexpected call from his favorite cousin asking for financial help after an emergency. Juan sends the money, dragging his wife Lucía into a chain of increasingly difficult sacrifices. Director bio: Miguel Melo is a writer/filmmaker based in LA, originally from Mexico. His work is heavily influenced by the Queer and immigrant experience, identity, and flawed family dynamics. He studied Directing and TV Writing in the UCLA Extension Program. He’s a Berlinale Talent, received the NALIP Emerging Content Creators Scholarship, and was selected for the HBO’s Tomorrow’s Filmmakers, Today Program.

Director bio: Luis, b. 2003, is a filmmaker originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Orlando, Florida, now based in New York. His films have showcased at festivals like Rooftop Films, Atlanta Film Festival, and Palm Springs International Shortfest. Most recently, he was an Assistant Editor on HBO/A24's "Neighbors."

In a crumbling Indian town, three retired men protest machines replacing human jobs by pretending to be household appliances. Director bio: Pranav Bhasin is a 29-year-old writer, director and actor from Mumbai. His Academy-qualifying short "We Were Here," executive produced by BAFTA-winning actor Andrew Scott, won the Audience Award at SXSW 2026, Best Live Action Short and Best Comedy Short at Palm Springs ShortFest 2026, and the Canal+ Prize at Clermont-Ferrand 2026.

Hazel Monroe, a trans pageant queen finds herself back in the spotlight to reclaim the space she once fled. But as the pressure mounts, her surreal visions blur her reality, forcing her to confront the self-doubt that shadows her womanhood. Director bio: Milo Richards is a filmmaker from Virginia whose work explores performative identity and collective memory through hybrid narrative and documentary forms. Prior to film, he worked in Richmond's theater community professionally as an actor. Milo’s filmmaking is informed by his background as an actor and his interest in the ways queer people inhabit stories about themselves.
