Once upon a time, in another world, tooth fairies are not sweet stories from childhood, but rather are real and malevolent monsters who harvest human teeth in a manner that accelerates agings. The majority of society lives in grim compliance, with everyone fearing for the moment a tooth loosens, knowing that means stolen years. When a young girl named Emily loses her first tooth, rather than surrender years of her childhood to the tooth fairies, she finds an obscure ritual. She performs a desperate blood sacrifice with a heavy heart, summoning an ancient creature to protect herself. The ritual is successful with the tooth fairy being slain by the creature in a gruesome spectacle of beautiful violence. However, Emily suffers disastrous consequences when she loses control of what she summoned.
