François Touraine owes his career to Rachel, the Jewish pianist who recognized his talent and taught him to play. As Nazi persecution closes in, their shared love of music offers no protection from the world outside. The Pianist’s Choice follows François as admiration and loyalty demand something far more difficult than performing: deciding what he is willing to risk for the person who made his life possible.
