VC co-founder Eddie Wong describes how our mentor Robert Nakamura taught us the art of creating photo essays by assigning us to cover “a day in the life” of the L.A. City Market. The market featured several Asian American owned produce brokers who supplied L.A.’s grocery stores and restaurants with fresh fruits and vegetables daily. VC also documented life at the L.A. Flower Market and the Terminal Island fish canneries.
