The Strong & The Beautiful follows queer women who embrace weightlifting as both a sport and a survival strategy. Through the outward display of female masculinity, they reclaim power in spaces that have historically excluded them. By reimagining what strength looks like, the film challenges stereotypes, uplifts marginalized voices, and reframes female masculinity as an expression of resilience and self-determination.
