Carter is a multicultural Mexican director whose work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, Raindance Film Festival, Berlin Commercial, and TIME Magazine, which named her one of 80 Mexicans shaping contemporary culture. She has directed projects for artists including Coldplay, Hozier, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, Sigala, and Meduza, consistently using Mexico as the backdrop for her work.

A Palestinian surgeon drives home after a long night shift, but little does she know that a commute through a desolate West Bank road will change her forever. Director bio: Said Zagha is a Palestinian-British director focused on political thrillers. Born in Jerusalem, raised in Ramallah, and now based in the UK. Along with "Coyotes," he’s made three short films shown at major festivals like Venice and London. He also directed two Netflix episodes, and is now developing his debut feature, a Palestinian revenge thriller.

Director bio: Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Karl-Mary is a first-generation Ivorian American filmmaker whose work centers Black womanhood through a speculative lens. An MFA graduate of UT Austin’s Michener Center for Writers, she is the writer of “Hair Care” (NOFF 2023 premiere, SXSW 2024 Special Jury Award). “What We Carry” is her directorial debut, inspired by her parents’ early experiences in the United States.

Director bio: Gabby Beans is a Tony-nominated actor, Berlinale Talents filmmaker, and Sundance Cultural Impact Fellow.
