Isolated from his lover and pen pal on the outside, June, two two plan his escape, one dream at a time. Director bio: Elo Santa Maria is a filmmaker from Houston Texas currently based in Brooklyn. Elo’s work is focused on trans narratives of resistance, love, and kinship with a southern flair. Elo received an MFA in film directing from NYU in 2023 and studied sculpture at MICA in 2009. He is currently working on the feature version of his short, "Moonbeams."

Uriel, a Mexican construction worker and devoted father, escapes to Hippie Hollow, Austin’s secluded clothing-optional beach, in search of solitude. Instead, he unexpectedly encounters his teenage son, Jorge, there with his boyfriend. Forced to confront a part of his son’s life he was never meant to see, Uriel struggles between discomfort, protectiveness, and love as father and son navigate the fragile distance between them. Director bio:Madeline Rose Finkel is a filmmaker raised between the US and UK who spent several years producing and creating work in Buenos Aires. A lifelong dancer, she brings an observational, international perspective to her films. She was named a Fulbright Scholar to Argentina in 2019, and her work as a producer has screened at the Venice Biennale and Sundance.

Construction worker Uriel’s private escape to a nude beach takes an unexpected turn when he encounters his son Jorge there with his boyfriend.

A farm worker prepares to cross the border of Vietnam in search of refuge abroad. His final day with a fellow worker transforms his understanding of himself and the world around him. Director bio: Edward Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American director based between New York and Austin. A recent graduate of Yale University, Edward’s work explores the intersection of Vietnamese diasporic experience and queerness, incorporating kink, folklore, and the surreal. He is a 2026 UFO Short Film Lab Fellow and is a recipient of the Colin Higgins Youth Filmmaker Grant with Frameline.

Director bio: Christian Meola is a filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. He won Best Narrative Film at Fencesitter Film Festival for “Stardust” in 2025 and the "You're Special" award at Bizarroland Film Festival in 2020. He was also a finalist for the 2025 Pandora Short Film Grant and the 2025 New Voices Filmmaker Grant. Christian's films have screened at IFC Center, Palm Springs ShortFest, Frameline, and Flickers RIIFF.

The brutal trial prompts them to question the nature of attraction in their rapidly binarizing world. Director bio: Mar Sudac (he/they) is an Ashkenazi filmmaker originally from Atlanta, Georgia. They make films about civic agency in defiance of state repression. Mar was awarded the Oscar Qualifying Lawrence Kasdan Best Narrative Film Award for their short film "(0, ∞)" at the Ann Arbor Film Festival.
