Uriel, a Mexican construction worker and devoted father, escapes to Hippie Hollow, Austin’s secluded clothing-optional beach, in search of solitude. Instead, he unexpectedly encounters his teenage son, Jorge, there with his boyfriend. Forced to confront a part of his son’s life he was never meant to see, Uriel struggles between discomfort, protectiveness, and love as father and son navigate the fragile distance between them.

Director bio:

Madeline Rose Finkel is a filmmaker raised between the US and UK who spent several years producing and creating work in Buenos Aires. A lifelong dancer, she brings an observational, international perspective to her films. She was named a Fulbright Scholar to Argentina in 2019, and her work as a producer has screened at the Venice Biennale and Sundance.
