    Kato Alexander is a Toronto-based filmmaker working across acting, voice, writing, directing, and creative producing. His most recent original work, Happy—a psychological thriller exploring depression and queer identity—was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts’ Concept to Realization grant (2023) and went on to win Best Horror Film at the 2025 Toronto Short Film Festival. Kato is drawn to stories that confront and illuminate the complexities of the human psyche. With over a decade of on-screen experience, Kato has worked extensively in film, television, voice over, and motion capture. He is a graduate of Second City Toronto’s Improv for Actors program and continues to expand his creative practice internationally. Kato plays the lead role of Jason in Happy and has appeared in acclaimed series including Murdoch Mysteries (CBC) as Wilmer Anderson, Sort Of (HBO Max) as Flavio, The Expanse (Amazon Prime) as Jianguo, and EZRA (OutTV) as Christian. In the world of gaming, Kato’s likeness and voice are featured as a lead player character in Ubisoft’s XDefiant. ......Renjie Li is a Chinese-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, with focuses on filmmaking, literature and music. With over a decade of experience as a Director/Producer, Renjie creates films that speak to the lived experience of Canadian immigrants, and hopes to share the many meanings of what it means to be Canadian. His first feature-length film titled “No Minorities: The Ballad of the Macedonian Diaspora” released internationally in August 2021, and is a testament to his passion to learn about other cultures and share their stories, while his action comedy series “Lightfest Fightfest” showcases his roots set in the Chinese martial arts films he grew up on. In 2021, Renjie created Renergy Media House, a Media Agency and Production House that focuses on creating unique Canadian content, while providing freelance artists with opportunities to expand their horizons. He is a supporter of equity within the arts, and hopes to create spaces for artists of all cultures and identities to collaborate in harmony.
