A haunting collection of short films that ventures into the uncanny corners of identity, memory, and human connection. Through stories of grief, desire, folklore, and the unknown, Witch’s Lament, Plaything, Han, and Rabbit Hole invite audiences into worlds where what lies beneath the surface can be both unsettling and transformative.

Director Biography - Yiding Wang <img src="https://filmfreeway-production-storage-01-connector.filmfreeway.com/press_kits/headshots/003/718/632/original/78b1c252cf-headshot.jpg?1765732667" width="104"> Yiding (Carmen) Wang is currently pursuing her MFA in Film Directing at Chapman University in the United States. She previously studied Film Production at the Beijing Film Academy before earning her bachelor’s degree in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts in the UK, where she gradually developed her artistic focus on directing.﻿In her creative practice, she has directed several short films, including Jaglion, Perfect Repair, and Stop the Thief, working across both Chinese and British production systems. She is involved in every stage of the filmmaking process—from screenwriting and team building to actor direction, on-set coordination, and editorial work. Jaglion and Perfect Repair especially highlight her strengths in narrative construction, performance direction, and visual style, while also deepening her cross-cultural storytelling sensibilities.Her work has received international recognition, including Best Student Short at the Los Angeles Independent Film Awards, Best Female Director at the Cannes World Film Festival, and Best Student Film at the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA). Her films explore the intersections of memory, identity, and emotional truth. As a director, she hopes to use cinema to resist oblivion, allowing stories buried by time to be seen once again.

Allen has crewed in film and television around Los Angeles for the past nine years on productions for HBO, Amazon, Netflix and AppleTV+. In their own writing and directorial work they have a specific passion for horror and telling stories for marginalized communities through a genre lens. A Korean American filmmaker reflects on the narratives of pioneering Korean and Korean American artists across generations – exploring the ontology of Korean identity, the weight of shared trauma, and the meaning of an artist’s suffering while living afar from home. With a strong academic foundation in cinema history and theory from his bachelor’s in Cinema &amp; Media Studies and Advertising from Boston University, he wishes to tell culturally and aesthetically meaningful narratives that resonate with wider audiences.After directing several student short films, including The Lonely Jazz Singer (2024) and Reminiscing of Decay (2024), his senior thesis project, Han (2026), serves as his most personal and passionate project, which was written, edited, and directed by himself.
